Description
Still grappling with how to engage students in authentic modeling tasks in math? Almost every STEM industry uses some aspect of modeling, and our area is rich with examples. In this workshop, participants will experience how to transform math and science problems into engaging modeling problems both with and without technology using resources from the GAIMME report, as well as other local and nationally developed resources. This course is best suited for middle and high school math teachers. STEM clock hours are available and lunch is provided.
