Description

Executive Function skills are cognitive skills that allow us to remember and follow instructions, avoid distractions, control our impulses, adjust to change, plan, organize, develop good habits, and manage information over time. This session will focus on how executive function develops and how adults can aid and support this development. These skills have three basic dimensions: working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility. These skills assist children in all areas of school success, including STEM learning.
