In this cohort, teams of special and general educators will work together to identify a problem of practice relating to achievement of special education students in their building. Together, educators will set goals with the purpose of changing outcomes for students and educator practices. With assistance from an ESD 112 coach, teams will identify activities to support their goals and will monitor their progress toward those goals throughout the year.

While participating in this cohort, educators will have the opportunity to learn about:

• Best practices for serving special education students in general education settings

• Frameworks for co-teaching and inclusion

• Analyzing data to set goals for special education students in the general education curriculum

• School-wide supports for inclusive practices

• Other goals related to support of special education students

This cohort will consist of the two scheduled days of in-person workshops as well as up to two days of in-building support per team. Your team will be contacted to schedule this training with the coach. You must register with a colleague/colleagues (1 special education and 1 general education teacher per team) to participate in this cohort.
