This module helps participants understand what children must learn in order to work with the counting sequence and understand the quantity associated with each number. Subitizing, which helps children know quantity without counting, begins with small numbers. Comparing quantities creates a later need for operations. Participants will explore these topics by doing hands-on activities, as well as developing their own activities.
