This follow-up to the 3-day Foundations of PBL workshop will center on advancing practice in classroom implementation of project-based learning with the goal of improving the quality of student work. The two days will include a mix of direct instruction, reflection and collaboration with teachers that have designed and implemented a PBL unit. Specifically, we will focus on the practices of Managing Activities and Assessing Student Learning. Time will be devoted to developing standards and skills-aligned rubrics and planning for student reflection and self-assessment. Guided practice on developing tools to scaffold student-led work and build a cooperative culture will be a key feature. 

• Attendees should come prepared to develop a new PBL and/or workshop an existing unit

• Team/individual planning time will be embedded throughout the day

• Materials, breakfast and lunch will be provided.
