Let’s face it—slideshows are everywhere in education. But not all of them are created with every learner (or staff member) in mind. In this session, we’ll explore how to design clear, inclusive, and ADA-aligned presentations using tools you already know: Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint. You’ll walk away with practical tips for formatting slides, using speaker notes effectively, turning on live captioning, checking accessibility, and choosing fonts and colors that work for all audiences.

We’ll also dig into common issues schools face with digital presentations—from color contrast to hyperlinking—and share simple tools (like Grackle and built-in accessibility checkers) that can make a big difference. By the end, you’ll feel more confident and prepared to create slide decks that engage and include—no matter your role in the school community.

This course can be taken as part of the 70 clock hours required for the General Paraeducator Certificate. It also meets the Advanced Paraeducator Certificate requirements. For more information please refer to the PESB Website. 

The total cost for this course, including registration fee and clock hour fee, will be $19.50, plus tax*.
