Teachers will practice with a locally relevant climate based phenomena to learn how to integrate local science and the Next Generation Science Standards into their classroom. Led by Washington Green Schools, this PLC will allow teachers to do the following:

• Come away with lessons that enhance your existing curriculum and can be adapted to your classroom needs
• Use NGSS Science and Engineering Practices to engage students around relevant, local science
• Discuss how to promote equity in student discourse
