Coaching with Fidelity Self-Assessment

This tool reflects the four coaching practices most closely associated with improved teacher implementation of evidence-based practices, leading to increased learner outcomes. 

These effective coaching practices include Observation, Modeling/Demonstration, Performance Feedback, and Alliance-Building Strategies. 

The goal is to self-reflect, with input from a self-identified mentor, on three elements of implementation for each of the four coaching practices – (1) Quality of Coaching, (2) Duration/Frequency of Coaching, and (3) Responsiveness of Coach to Teacher.  The tool has been adapted from the WestEd, National Center for Systemic Improvement (NCSI) resources reviewed.
