Description
As a response to the ESSA data and with support from OSPI, ESD 113 is creating Instructional Improvement Communities for special education teachers who are the sole special education teacher in their building or district. The group will meet monthly in person with rotating locations, flexible times, and via Zoom to reduce barriers to participation. The topics will include individual needs as well as a focus on High Leverage Practices in Special Education, including a book study with reflections on implementation. Each participant will receive a copy of the book High Leverage Practices in Special Education and clock hours for every 3 or more hours of meeting time. If you would like more information on these practices that are being promoted by OSPI, there is a 6.5 minute video introduction (and access to all of the materials) on this site: https://highleveragepractices.org/701-2-2/ .
