Description

Are you looking to get the 2019-2020 school year off to a great start?  Are you a 4th grade teacher?  Have you been curious about developing integrated units and don’t know where to start?  If you answered yes to those questions then we have the PD for you!!!  Please join us on June 17 for two hours. We will be highlighting an integrated unit focused around NGSS, ELA, and math standards.  We will begin with the driving question:  How will WA state replace coal energy?  Through this unit students will learn about different forms of energy, whether it is renewable or nonrenewable, and propose a replacement energy for coal.  Informational and opinion writing, math, and science labs will drive the instruction.  The 4th grade teachers who developed this unit will also describe their process for designing instructional units which can be used with a variety of preexisting curricula and materials.

This PD is funded through a grant so if you attend the 2 hour PD you will receive a $100 stipend.

There are a limited number of spots for this PD so be sure to register early!!

This PD is open to all 4th grade teachers in ESD 113.
