Develop your team’s racial equity literacy in this interactive two-day institute. We will use interactive and experiential techniques to explore the connections between interpersonal, institutional and structural racism and our current educational system in order to create a shared knowledge base for leading with racial equity to eliminate the opportunity gap in your context.

Outcomes: 

Participants will:

• Increase awareness of our racial and cultural filters, stereotypes, biases & judgments
• Understand the three forms of racism: Individual, Institutional and Structural
• Have greater awareness and knowledge of the historical construction of whiteness and the impact of the abuse of power and prejudice
• Analyze the impact of individual, institutional and structural racism on our work with students
