Marzano Framework / Stage 1

Instructional leaders will learn about the underlying research, organization and building blocks of the Marzano framework. They will also apply what they learn and have the opportunity to align their expectations with other practitioners in the field. The intent of this course is to build an initial understanding of the Marzano framework that instructional leaders can begin to consider as they implement teacher evaluation.

Required training for new principals, assistant principals, and those who have changed frameworks:

  • Stage I: 2 days
  • Stage II: 4 days


NOTE: These sessions will be in-person or via Zoom, depending on current Department of Health guidelines and regulations.

This two-day, synchronous on-line training prepares evaluators of classroom teachers to apply the newly-revised Marzano TPEP Framework. Participants will understand the research foundations of the framework and gain foundational knowledge and skills for observing and evaluating classroom instruction through the Marzano Framework.
