Description
Come rediscover your inner artist! In this series we will explore how art forms can become a part of every subject area of your class. You’ll walk away with new tools and confidence to engage students with different learning styles and complex needs through art expression activities. Watch how your students find appropriate outward expressions for their inward emotions when art becomes an intentional part of your classroom environment. And- how it boosts your own resilience as an educator.
Each training highlights three core early learning principles. First, providers will learn how to foster creative expression and imagination by offering children open-ended art experiences that encourage experimentation, problem-solving, and individual voice. Second, they will see how social-emotional learning and relationship skills are strengthened as children collaborate, practice empathy, and express feelings in safe, constructive ways through shared art-making. Finally, providers will discover how art supports cognitive development and fine motor skills, as children plan, organize, and create while building sequencing, spatial awareness, and pattern recognition. Together, these principles illustrate how creativity, connection, and cognition come alive through art—equipping providers with practical tools they can apply with students in their learning environments and extend to families at home.
This event is being held at the ESD 123 main Pasco location.
