The regional workshops are a series of professional development trainings for school nurses working in rural settings that are often the only healthcare provider in the school system. These regionally located workshops will have the same content. The content of these workshops will include Public Health District update for each county, Department of Social and Health Services overview of services; Review of Medicaid Administrative Claiming and School-Based Health Care Services from Washington State Health Care Authority; Family Youth System Partner Round Table (FYSPRT); Crisis prevention to include active shooter and multi-hazard emergency planning; and a round table discussion regarding School Nursing practice.
