This workshop will focus on GLAD strategies that specifically relate to the teenage brain. Those of us who work with older students know that the biggest challenge is often motivation and engagement.  Guided Language Acquisition Design is one of the best solutions to equip yourself with tools for social and cognitive engagement. You will learn how to weave behavior and language into your content.  Special emphasis will be placed on teaching academic vocabulary, problem solving in groups, and student-centered learning experiences.
