Description
This six hour professional learning course answers questions all educators have about the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as it applies to the public school’s duty to provide a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) to students with disabilities. The key elements of Section 504 are explored including its definition, what this federal law requires in terms of FAPE, and how it should be implemented. Lunch will be provided. This workshop is provided by the Special Education Support Center (SESC), a state needs project through OSPI. Limited to first 45 participants.
