In this session, participants will learn…… about UKERU: the “least resistance” approach to crisis management. The

objectives are to understand that there are other (safer) methods to manage dangerous situations without the use of

restraint and seclusion. UKERU wants to add more skills to your toolbox to keep everyone safe, and to create a better

understanding of behavior. Like any other techniques we learn in our field, nothing is fail-proof! We must be alert and

aware to minimize the risk of injury.
