This beginning course is designed to give a first-time teacher foundational tools and skills that can immediately be used in the classroom. The course will cover the essentials any first-time teacher should know and will help the teacher learn the basic fundamentals of teaching. The course addresses continuous improvement of teaching through reflective practice. Candidates develop lessons and focused on alignment of assessments to standards and outcomes. Candidates evaluate instructional effectiveness through data collection and analysis. Throughout this course, candidates will be collecting evidence of professional growth and reflection.
