Description
In order to create an effective CTE classroom, a candidate needs to understand the history and philosophy behind CTE. A deep understanding of the philosophy and intent of CTE will help candidates create a learning environment where students learn and practice in environments that resemble today’s work environment. This online course introduces students to Career and Technical Education in Washington State. The course consists of three segments: history/philosophy, pedagogy and currently emerging CTE topics. Students will be prepared to refine their own philosophy concerning the value and purpose of CTE.
