This online course has a state required 60-hour practicum that ALL Plan 2 participants must take. Even if you are already a teacher and have gone through teaching program, the practicum is required for you to display your full understanding of using the CTE skills you have been taught through your course work. This practicum may take place in your own classroom only if you are currently assigned to a CTE classroom representing your area of certification. If you are not currently teaching in a classroom, you will need to work with OPLA Plan 2 administration to secure a location for you to conduct your practicum. You will be expected to document your practicum hours and have them approved a mentor. Additionally, you will be asked to journal your experience, provide video evidence of your instruction, and have your mentor provide an evaluation.

Cancellations/Refunds
Full refund of NEWESD 101 registration fee, less $10 administrative fee, is available if your cancellation is received 5 days prior to the first class. Full refunds will be issued if the courses is cancelled by NEWESD 101.
