Description
OSPI worked closely with the nine ESDs to develop content-specific online learning for educators during Long-Term School Closure (LTSC). This online course is a result of that collaboration.
As educators and school leaders implement systems and structures to support equitable and inclusive learning during school closures, creative solutions, collaboration, and strong leadership is critical . This course will assist leaders with thinking through how they can use a Universal Design for Learning lens to support their educators with meaningfully engaging and meeting the needs of all learners. Leaders will attend one 3 hour synchronous online course session which will guide their initial exploration of tools and strategies to foster family and educator partnership, reduce barriers to engagement, and support staff with shifting their practice to distance learning. Materials and activities from the course will be available for later reference, continued learning, and use with staff.
Content of this course is integrated with materials from the AESD Inclusionary Practices Project and was designed in collaboration with the Novak Consulting Group. For more information about participating in this project, please contact Lindsay Hicks-Frazer, lhicks-frazer@esd101.net, your region’s Inclusionary Practices coordinator.
