Description
In the academic environment, play is often seen as an activity that is done outside of learning. At the Play Institute, we believe that play is the best vehicle for learning because it naturally energizes and engages students in the learning process. In this experiential workshop, teachers will participate in playful activities and identify ways to engage all students in STEM by incorporating different play preferences and styles into their lessons. Using the PlayDuctivity™ Framework, participants will experience how incorporating play into STEM lessons can help students achieve vital learning outcomes and develop habits of mind for academic and career success in STEM.
