This two-day AWSP Leadership Framewok training fulfills the Washington state requirement for training on the AWSP Leadership Framework. The workshop provides a tool for districts as they continue to design and develop their new principal evaluation models. The framework played an essential role in the TPEP pilots' development of the principal evaluation models and its use was one of the assurances involved with the RIG process.

For this workshop the AWSP Leadership Framework User's Guide is required. If you do not already have a copy please go the AWSP website for information on how to obtain a copy - www.awsp.org. (Look for the User's Guide under the Resources tab.)

Knowledge and Skills: The principals' knowledge and skills enhance his/her understanding of details associated with each responsibility.

Evidence/Measures: Provides samples of evidence or measures that principals and the district can use as a starting point for development of their own.

Support: All principals need district support for developing their skills and knowledge in each of the responsibility areas.

Authority: Focus on district policies and teacher collective bargaining agreements that might have an impact on a principal's authority.
