The ETS Paraprofessional Assessment consists of 90 multiple choice questions 30 in each of the following subjects: reading writing and math. Approximately two-thirds of the questions in each subject area focus on the application of those skills and knowledge in a classroom context. Fifteen of the questions in the test (five in each subject) are pretest questions and do not count toward the candidate's score. Individuals must score 461 or higher to pass the assessment for Washington.

There is a mandatory 35-day waiting period (not including your initial test date) to retest if you do not pass. ETS may cancel your score from being reported if this waiting period has been violated.

Accessing a phone calculator watch or any other electronic photographic scanning listening or recording device during the test is not allowed. Scratch paper and pencils will be provided.

You must bring acceptable and valid ID with your name signature and photograph.

Cancellations/Refunds
Full refund of NEWESD 101 registration fee, less $10 administrative fee, is available if your cancellation is received 5 days prior to the first class. Full refunds will be issued if the courses is cancelled by NEWESD 101. 

PLEASE NOTE: 

1. Do not show up for testing until 5-10 minutes before the scheduled test. 
2. Your temperature will be required upon arrival and a mask is required while you are in the building. 
3. You will need to complete a health attestation (you’ll need your cell phone for this). Instructions are at the entrance before you go up the steps.
4. Water and coffee will not be available but feel free to bring your own.
