Description
The ELA CCSS Reading Foundational Skills standards address the need for students to be proficient readers in order to comprehend texts across a range of types and content areas. However, many students in grades 2-8 have difficulty decoding words accurately and fluently, which makes comprehension difficult.
This professional learning session is designed to support teachers in meeting the needs of elementary and middle school students who need support with mastering these important foundational skills. Participants will leave with strategies to implement immediately with their students utilizing texts that are already part of their instructional program.
