Differences in pre-service teacher education programs and changing Special Education regulations can make the preparation of useful and compliant IEPs seem like an impossible goal. Please join us for a one-day workshop in which you will receive guidance and practice writing Individualized Education Programs (IEP) aligned to Washington State requirements.

Participants are encouraged to bring their district's IEP forms as well as student data for an upcoming IEP meeting. Participants will examine the IEP as a means toward social justice, instructional rigor, and finally, compliance. All IEP requirements addressing meetings, participants, present levels, goals, progress reporting, accommodations, placement, and prior written notice will be examined and applied toward an upcoming IEP identified by each participant.

Lunch: 30-minutes on your own
