COE: Supporting Student Graduation with the Collection of Evidence in Mathematics
Presenters
- Tina Mott
Description
This session will be a mixture of face to face and online PD in which teachers will learn about the Collection of Evidence as a way to satisfy the graduation requirement in mathematics through the Locally Administered Assessment. In the first session, teachers will engage in a presentation that will familiarize them with the Collection of Evidence as a Locally Administered Assessment alternative and learn how they can use this to support their student in graduating. They will explore potential math prompts and collaborate to determine which questions to include and how to support student success. In the follow-up sessions, which will be 2 to 3-hour online collaborative sessions, teachers will come together, review student work to learn about their students thinking, calibrate their scoring, and score student work.
