Description
Engage in collaborative learning and planning of the lessons and units that you teach. Improve the lesson/unit design to support all students in engaging in sophisticated thinking by using New Pedegogies for Deeper Learning (NPDL) tools, including the Deep Learning Competencies, the Learning Design Rubric, and Learning Design Protocol. Balance your own learning between the equity-based research, or the WHY, and practical application of methods, strategies, and activities for your classroom and your students. This is a two day session with a delay between the two days so that you can apply your learning with your students and then reflect with your peers on the modifications that you tried.
Participants should plan to bring a unit/lesson that they would like to redesign.
Registration open to districts involved in the Deeper Learning Consortium.
