Are instructors and evaluators struggling with what it looks like to include SEL in rigorous academic instruction?
This one day workshop for building administrators is focused on how to integrate social emotional learning (SEL) within the academic core to provide a safe and engaging learning environment for all students. The workshop emphasizes the importance of embedding the foundations of social, emotional, and academic development into the culture of instruction with the goal of building students’ hope and resilience in solving future problems.
KEYNOTE:
Hear from Liesl McConchie, co-author of the book Brain-Based Learning, Teaching the Way Students Really Learn. She will present an opening keynote (via zoom) with an interactive Q&A session following.
Liesl McConchie is an educator, international speaker on how the brain learns, and co-author of best-selling book Brain-Based Learning with Dr. Eric Jensen.
