The goal of the Principal Leadership Network is to provide support for building principals and assistant principals as they navigate the State Eight Criteria and the Leadership Framework for principal evaluation. The following topics will be discussed: (1) Assessment Literacy; (2) Focus on ALT ED: Instructional Framework Guidance/What Works?;(3) Next Generation Science Standards; (4) Technology for TPEP and the classroom; (5) Adverse childhood experiences and resiliency; And (6) Focus on ALT ED: Current issues for ALT ED Leadership.
Presenter: Susan Brooks-Young
Susan Brooks-Young has been involved in the field of instructional technology since 1979. One of the original technology users in the district where she taught, Susan continues to explore ways in which technology can be used to facilitate student learning.
Prior to establishing her own consulting firm, Susan was a teacher, site administrator, and technology specialist in a county office of education in a career that spanned more than 23 years in both public and private education. Since 1986, she has published articles and software reviews in a variety of education journals. She is also author of a number of books which focus on effective use of technology in schools.
Susan works with educators internationally, focusing on practical technology-based strategies for personal productivity and effective technology implementation in classrooms. Mobile technologies, BYOD programs, and digital literacy skills are areas of particular interest for her.
