Description

In this 6-part monthly series, we will use NASA Missions to highlight how NGSS Crosscutting Concepts can be developed and used in your classroom on a regular basis.

The Next Generation Science Standards feature a 3-dimensional learning approach, where Science and Engineering Practices, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts combine for rich student learning.  Of these three, the Crosscutting Concepts tend to be the most misunderstood and difficult to implement.

Each session will feature a different NASA Mission, one or more of the Crosscutting Concepts, and classroom-ready resources.  NOTE: Attendance at all sessions is not required, but if you attend all sessions, you will gain in-depth experiences with all seven crosscutting concepts!

3 STEM Clock Hours per session; Dinner provided.
