Description
During the pandemic, children and adolescents faced social, academic, cultural, and political challenges. Since the pandemic began, rates of psychological distress among young people, including symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders, have increased. To respond and help students recover, we are offering this training to grade 7-10 teachers who would like to increase their understanding of mental health and mental disorders, decrease the stigma of mental illness and disorders, and enhance help-seeking efficacy among students and teachers. Teachers will be provided with the evidence-based Mental Health Literacy Curriculum from TeenMentalHealth.org to utilize and implement in their classrooms.
