This book study is for those who are interested in cultivating their own emotional resilience, and learning strategies and practices to deepen their resilience, while in a supportive collaborative learning community. Participants will come together the 3^rd Wednesday of every month (virtually), September through May, to discuss the chapters assigned to read from the book Onward – Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Educators and the companion Onward Workbook, both written by Elena Aguilar.

Space is limited to 25 participants. Each participant will receive the book and workbook prior to the class – please make sure your information is up to date in PD Enroller to ensure communication about delivery/shipping of the materials. The cost of the course is $15.00 to cover shipping costs.

Due to the length of the book – The first three sessions (September – November 2022) will be held for 90 minutes 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM.  The remainder of the sessions (December – May 2023) will be one hour 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM. Additionally, there will be asynchronous work, for a total of 10.5 clock hours, for all reading assignments (90 minutes monthly September – November; and one hour December – May).

After registering a zoom link will be provided along with directions from the facilitators on how to document asynchronous work.
