Description
When trauma happens, psychological first-aid is needed. How do you do that? Knowing how makes a difference when helping students, staff, schools recover. This training includes useful information on critical incident stress and its impact, how people react differently, the 3R's of critical incident response management, importance of defining a critical incident and expectations of how people should react, planning response tools, support interventions, how to facilitate a critical incident stress debriefing, and ideas for team/self-care to be more confident and ready to respond when trauma happens.
