Description
Project HiCapPLUS Professional Learning Modules are geared for all educators working with highly capable students. The modules are part of two online professional development courses, Access and Equity for Highly Capable Identification and Services, and Pedagogies and Strategies that Enhance Learning for Highly Capable Students. The nine modules were developed by Dr. Nancy Hertzog of the Robinson Center at the University of Washington and Dr. Jann Leppien of the Center for Gifted Education at Whitworth University. Dr. Leppien will work in-person with participants to explore how the modules can be incorporated into district- and school-level professional development activities. The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Todd Christensen and OSPI staff Jason Miller and Jody Hess.
Trainings in 2018 in all ESD regions are funded by the Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented Education Program through the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education PR/Award #S206A150008.
