Join us for this mid-summer opportunity to earn STEM clock hours, learn from local EdTech teacher experts, and participate in hands-on experiences. You will walk away with lesson ideas and tools you can use in your classroom immediately to engage students, build college and career skills, and inspire your students to be global citizens! Choose ONE of the sessions below to attend and register early to reserve your spot.

Option 1 – Building Future-Ready Skills with Office 365

Innovative educators are always working to improve their practices and “make what’s next” in light of emerging educational trends and the latest technologies. With the ever-changing landscape of technology and careers, best practices require teachers to continually transform their lessons and their teaching methods to ensure their students are college and career ready. Come learn how to prepare students for their futures using business-class collaborative tools for productivity and efficiency. Instructor: Emily Bannon

 

Option 2 – Engaging the Brain through STEM Projects

Come experience and learn to build affordable inquiry and project-based activities to visualize data across science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum. Also see how easy coding can be with a variety of inexpensive classroom tools and how coding can increase computational thinking and problem solving skills for your students. Instructor: Shannon Fallon.

 

Option 3 – Building Global Citizens with Project Based Learning

Global citizens take action on the world’s biggest challenges. In an ever-changing world where globalization is the norm, teaching how to be an active citizen in and beyond our communities is an integral part of our students’ success. Come experience what it’s like to escape the walls of a classroom and explore the world around us using Skype, a free tool for anyone in the world. Instructor: Julie Paddock
