DITEP: Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals

Two-Day DITEP Training

November 29-30 2017 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Administered by PSESD

Description

Too many students are using drugs and cannot learn if they are high. Student drug use correlates to low academic achievement, behavioral problems, and dropout. Marijuana is now legal to use in Washington State. Prescription drugs along with illicit drugs are being abused in record numbers. School decision-makers need tools to identify individuals who are under the influence of drugs other than alcohol. Do you have the skills?

Identifying subjects under the influence of drugs is not a difficult task when one knows what to look for. Drug Impairment Training for the Educational Professionals prepares you to know what to look for and how to document your observations to help create a better academic environment. With DITEP, school leaders can improve their ability to identify students who may be under the influence of drugs and increase the likelihood that all students can stay in school and be successful.
