    We are looking forward to seeing all of you this Saturday in the Capital High School library. Please park in the lower (student) lot on Conger. Go up the stairs or the ramp to enter the Student Commons area. The library is located just off the Commons on the left side. Please bring: Your fully-charged laptop. A tablet or phone may not be adequate for the online research we will be doing. A mug for coffee and tea Headphones/earbuds Your lunch. We will have a 30-minute lunch break. There are several fast food restaurants nearby if you want to buy lunch and bring it back.

Description

This free workshop is designed to provide Teacher-Librarians and other educators with strategies to transform student learning using the state’s updated Educational Technology Learning Standards (http://www.k12.wa.us/EdTech/Standards/). These standards are based upon the 2016 Technology Standards for Students released by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), and can integrated into lessons in virtually all content areas. Participants will gain a general understanding of the standards, and ideas for implementing them at all levels. This training is sponsored by the WA State Library, WLA, and OSPI, and 6 free clock hours will be available to attendees.
