Description
Schoolwide (SW) and Targeted Assistance (TA) plans help buildings and students meet state standards and guide systemic improvement. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides four components for developing SW plans (Section 1114-Schoolwide), and six components for developing TA plans (Section 1115-Targeted Assistance).
This is a one-day workshop designed to review, update, and develop the Schoolwide and/or Targeted Assistance Plan, Do, Study, Adjust Revised template.
The revised template includes new sections that can help participating schools consolidate the following requirements:
- Schoolwide or Targeted Assistance Components
- ESSA supports– WA Framework Identification– Plan Requirements
- School Improvement Plan WAC-180-16-220
Who should attend: Teams should consist of Principal, Title I Director, and Leadership Team members responsible for creating a comprehensive needs assessment for the entire building’s needs, as well as creating or revising a new template.
What to bring:
- The Menus of Best Practice for ELA/Mathematics and Behavior.
- Bring your buildings’ 2017-18 School Improvement Plan (SIP) and/or 2017-18 SW/TA plan, or current 2018-19 SW/TA plan.
- Bring computers or group computer to build template.
Each person attending the workshop must register individually in order to secure his or her spot.
