Join experts from Seattle Children’s and the community for our first virtual-only conference. Speakers will present evidence-based recommendations on COVID-19–related medical and mental health issues. You will gain practical tips and tools, resources and information to better serve children with special healthcare needs and their families in your practice setting. Course content will include topics on:
- Update on Infectious Disease and COVID-19
- Health Equity Impact on Children and Families Due to COVID-19
- Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) and COVID-19
- Telephone Triage – Best Practices and Assessment Tools
Participants will:
- Employ infectious disease updates to provide up-to-date clinical care for patients with coronavirus.
- Examine the effects of coronavirus on the care of pediatric patients.
- Recognize disparity and health equity issues on children and families due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Nurses and allied healthcare professionals caring for children with special healthcare needs in school, primary care, public health and other ambulatory care settings will most benefit from this educational conference.
