What is the Kindergarten Institute Membership?

The Kindergarten Institute Membership is a professional development experience designed for educators who work primarily with kindergarten students. The membership will provide targeted learning that can be applied to your kindergarten classroom, covers a variety of topics, and align with the state requirements around Full Day Kindergarten. All events will be virtual at least through December 31, 2020.  

What does Kindergarten Institute Membership Cost? 

The Kindergarten Institute Membership fee is $375. Members will be able to attend specific additional professional development experiences for a discounted price. The included membership experiences are valued at over $600. This fee covers services fro the 2020 - 2021 school year. Membership begins September 1, 2020, and ends August 31, 2021. 

What does the Kindergarten Institute Membership Include? 

Membership includes the following:

• Registration for the two-day Kindergarten Institute (Summer 2021) ($110 value)
• Exclusive to Membership: First Ten Weeks of Kindergarten Technical Assistance Zoom calls with WaKIDS trainer, Whitney White (Sept. - Oct. 2020) ($150 value) 
• Exclusive to Membership: Virtual Book Study facilitated by Whitney White on Anti-Bias Education for Young Children and Ourselves (and a copy of the book) ($100 value) 
• 3 of the 5 Professional Development Experiences from the list below. All sessions are half-day (the additional listed sessions cab be attended for a discounted price with membership):
  • October 2020: Meaningful Materials ($80 value) (virtual training)
  • November 2020: Writing in Kindergarten ($80 value) (virtual training)
  • February 2021: Class Meetings ($80 value) 
  • March 2021: Purposeful Play ($80 value) 
  • May 2021: Developing Curious Minds: Project-Based Learning in Early Childhood ($80 value)
