Participants will be provided with an overview of school district and school staff responsibilities under Section 504 including evaluation, identification, and creation of 504 plans. Practical suggestions and examples will be shared.

•    Section 504 procedural requirements

•    Relationship between section 504 and IDEA (Individuals w/Disabilities Education Act)

•    Accommodations vs specially designed instruction

•    Disciplinary exclusion

•    Responsibilities under 504 during remote learning
