Workshop Description

Participants will build knowledge and skills for supporting racial equity-focused data conversations. Time together will focus on learning about and practicing to support teams in each stage of the cycle of inquiry and action, and strategies to bring race into conversations about disparities. The workshop will include small and large group work, as well as individual reflection.

Learning objectives

Participants will:

• Identify data sources that will inform their work
• Describe the cycle of inquiry and action and how each stage can be helpful to making decisions
• Utilize protocols that can be helpful for identifying the root causes of issues surfaced through data-focused conversations
• Practice facilitation strategies to support a group through challenging conversations, especially those focused on racial equity

Who should attend

Leaders, teachers and counselors from schools, districts, colleges, early learning and community-based organizations.

Cost

$400 for two day training, lunch will be included.  Twelve clock hours are available for the training at $24.
