Description
ASCD PD Online courses are self-paced, web-based, media-rich learning experiences that help users deepen their understanding of today's most important education topics. Each course includes video content, readings, auto-graded assessments, downloadable applications, and reflections. You must register for your class through Puget Sound ESD in order to request PSESD clock hours or Seattle University college credit. Instructions for requesting clock hours or SU credit will be included in your registration confirmation email. Register anytime between now and August 15, 2019, but your course MUST be completed by August 31, 2019.
This course explores why language assessment is important and considers how teachers can assess language skills on an ongoing basis. Course participants will learn how to design, construct, score, and evaluate different language measures, including listening, speaking, reading comprehension, and written expression. This course also addresses test-taking strategies, as well as the importance of interpreting and reporting scores.

Prerequisites: Minimum computer hardware requirements with internet access.
Cancellation Policy: To receive a refund for this class, EMAIL your cancellation request to registration@psesd.org within two weeks of your registration confirmation. Refunds are valid ONLY if the participant has not started the course.
Available: 20 PSESD clock hours ($60) or 2 Seattle University credits ($100).
