Description
This day long training will provide information and planning opportunities for co-teaching teams focused on implementing and improving practices, strategies and collaboration methods when co-teaching for students with disabilities. Specific information will be provided regarding the purpose of co-teaching, the six models of co-teaching, strategies for co-planning and integrating specially designed instruction within the flow of classroom instruction. Additionally, instructional strategies related to teaching academic vocabulary and utilizing graphic organizers will be presented, along with opportunities for co-teaching teams to plan for the integration of these strategies into fall lesson plans.
Co-Teaching teams (general education teacher & special education teacher), building administrators, instructional coaches, and special education administrators are invited to attend.
