Description
Thank you for participating in our CASTL Institute. We hope you are enjoying trying new things and are looking forward to reconvening with colleagues to continue developing as an Ambitious Science Teacher! It's time to register for Reflective Planning Day #1
As a reminder, our Reflective Planning Day will include the following:
- Part 1. More on Ambitious Science Teaching using your AST book. PLEASE BRING YOUR BOOK. (This session ... more on supporting student talk!)
- Part 2. Critical Friends Groups. It is important that you bring a set of student work to best participate in this powerful learning opportunity.
- Part 3. Some planning time to consider how to apply the day's learning to your practice and upcoming learning opportunities for students
To each RPD, please bring:
- Your laptop or tablet, charging cable
- Your Ambitious Science Teaching book
- A lunch & water bottle & your caffeine of choice (Please note - Our agenda only allows a 30 minute lunch. Please bring a lunch to our Reflective Planning Day.)
- One class set of student work samples that reflects AST-based student thinking (If working with a partner, bring two sets or split your set of student work.). TOSAs should have work samples, too.
