This eWorkshop is designed to strengthen instructional practices that focus on language for learning using the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework, 2020 Edition. There are six modules in this eWorkshop. Educators can use the six modules as shared professional development by going through the modules on the same weekly schedule and then meeting to discuss the topics of each module. There are discussion questions to support this approach. These modules provide self-paced learning and educators are free to engage at the pace that best fits their own needs and context.

Access course:

Washington State educators and administrators access the WIDA Self- Paced eWorkshops via the WIDA Secure Portal.

 If you do not have a WIDA Secure Portal account, follow the steps below:

1. Use your district email address and email WIDA Client Services Center at help@wida.us and ask for access to the WIDA Secure Portal.
2. WIDA will send you an access link within 24 hours. Set up your login username and password.
3. Access the WIDA Secure Portal.
4. Click on the “WIDA eLearning Center” tile and that will take you to the eLearning “Dashboard.”
5. Scroll to the Self-Paced eWorkshop tile and click on the course link OR use the left-hand navigation bar and click on “Courses.”
6. Select the course and begin.
7. Finish the course and download the WIDA course completion certificate for your records.

Get clock hours:

1. OSPI will receive verification from WIDA that you have completed the course.
2. Login to your pdEnroller account, go to your Events, click on this event, then go to the Clock Hour Checklist and take the survey.
3. Clock hours will be automatically uploaded to your OSPI eCertification account within two weeks of completing the survey. You will receive an email from pdEnroller when the clock hours have been posted to your OSPI eCertification file.
