This course is designed for certificated teachers and counselors who are pursuing their National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. This 10-hour course will overview of the national boards process for the Component 2 Portfolio Submission: Differentiation in Instruction. The course will assist participants in navigating the portfolio entry and evidence needed for submission of Component 2 and the integration of National Boards 5 Core Propositions and National Boards specific certificate area standards. It is designed to provide feedback to candidates to promote success in their Component 2 portfolio entry. 

Regardless of personal submission status, participants will be required to give feedback to fellow candidates on their entries.  

Candidates are expected to attend and participate in all cohort meetings. If meetings will be missed, a plan for make-ups will be required. 

Candidates are responsible for paying applicable National Boards fees directly to the National Boards for Professional Teaching Standards (nbpts.org).
