Description
Join Brenda and Sarah for our newest series, Neurodiversity in Education and Life, where we explore what it truly means to build affirming and inclusive spaces for all learners. This season, we’re stepping back to look at the big picture—how neurodiversity impacts both the classroom and the home. Through honest conversations with parents, professionals, and advocates, we’ll tackle the systemic barriers we still need to overcome and celebrate the practices that are already making a difference in special education, AT, and AAC. Tune in as we learn from lived experiences, challenge outdated mindsets, and work together to empower every child to connect, communicate, and thrive.
In addition, Stories of Neurodiversity in Education and Life invites listeners into meaningful conversations with educators, clinicians, self-advocates, and families to explore what it truly means to create neurodiversity-affirming environments. Through real-life stories and expert insights, the series highlights inclusive practices in AAC and assistive technology, challenges outdated approaches, and centers the voices of those with lived experience. Each episode offers practical strategies and reflections that support communication, autonomy, and belonging across school, home, and community settings.
