3-DAY IMMERSION CLASS “OCDE Project GLAD®” UNIT

Training Dates:  March18, 19, 20, 2025
Location:  ESD105 Conference Center in Klickitat Room
Time:  8:30 AM - 3:30 PM each day
Clock Hours:  18 STEM clock hours

Event Description:

As we researched the enormous impact of climate change, we found so many voices of hope in how people around the world are addressing it. Come to this BRAND-NEW 3-day class offering and leave with the following:  

• An NTC Project GLAD® unit with technology connections
• Science investigations supporting NTC GLAD® input charts
• An amazing action plan that empowers students to make changes, helping our planet
• The first EVER Project GLAD® unit that is Open Educational Resource (OER) 
• All the materials to teach it-Picture File Cards, Observation Charts, Big Book, & more!

Designed for 4^th-7^th grade classrooms however many grade levels could benefit from its powerful strategies and message. NTC Project GLAD® Tier I trained PREFERRED

Course Objectives (minimum of 3 required)

* Teachers will leave ready to teach the OCDE Project GLAD® unit: “CLIMATE SCIENCE: VOICES OF HOPE”

*Teachers will increase their understanding of Climate Science

* Teachers will increase their understanding of Project GLAD® strategies

ALL ATTENDEES Bring:  Your laptop, materials to take notes, lunch, snacks for the day.
